Following the cake tasting will be Tatiana Taylor's FIRST birthday party!!! We wish our long distance friends could attend. You're all in our hearts and we we can't wait until October to make up for lost time. On Sunday we'll be meeting for an appointment at noon at David's Bridal. Here we'll begin our search for the perfect bridesmaids dress. Lindsay wants something long black and elegant with a hot pink sash. Ladies, PLEASE, if you have time between now and then, browse the internet, Wishing Well, David's Bridal etc. and send some pictures over of dresses you like.
Also, Hotel Providence is giving us a rate of $149.00 per night!!!!!!!! (Normal rate at that hotel is $249.00). Guests can upgrade to a suite for $175.00 per night - also cheaper than the normal price. April, Beth, Emilie and Allison are all interested in staying at the hotel the night of the wedding. If any other girls are interested, please let Lindsay know. If any girls are interested in sharing a suite together, I think it's a great idea, speak up so we can get the party started!
We're still in a pickle in regard to the Bachelorette Party... in a recent e-mail this is what Lindsay said...
" I've been getting lots of questions regarding what I would like to happen at my bachelorette party. I know I'm not supposed to have anything to do with this part, but here is what I would like to do with you girls. What would make me REALLY HAPPY, for a bachelorette party, would be: First, I'd like the location to be downtown Providence - why? because I LOVE this city. I'd like Thursday afternoon (10/6/2011) spent at a nice salon getting nails done for the wedding (with all of us there at once, maybe we can get a discount!), then I'd like to go to a nice restaurant for dinner (I'm a Steak & Sushi girl), then I'd like to go to a nice Lounge to drink wine, relax and listen to good music (I'm picturing the lounge at Temple at the Hotel Renaissance - we don't have to go there, it's just the picture I see in my head. Something similar, but better). I don't want to go crazy and drink like a fish and be hung-over in the morning. I want to have a relaxing night with my girls to chat, laugh and talk about the next 2 days to come (because nothing makes me happier at this point than to talk about the wedding. Very Corney, I know - but it's true) - no pressure, no time constraints, no drama, no worries, just CHILL. If we hear a good song and we get up and start dancing like maniacs, than cool! Love it! But for the most part, I'd like to be sitting on a couch :) Keep in mind, we have 1 bridesmaid who is under 21 - so we will all have to work on getting her into any place we go. She is staying with us all night. ;) Love you Tori!"
We're having a hard time trying to figure this one out. We need input from everyone! Please get on board the Bridesmaid Train. If you haven't talked to one of your Rhode Island friends in a while, pick up the phone and let us know what you think, or leave a comment. If you hang out in Rhode Island everyday, we want your input too. I've tried to make this blog as easy as possible for everyone to use. If you have problems, let Beth know.
All the best!
